Dance in our area is a way of life and it is not a profession to make money, it is something for joy and community sharing and harmony. It believes in the "GURI-SHISHYA parampara" (the teacher-student relationship) which has a history of more than 2000 years old. The leading artist of Chha u dance Mr. Nepal Mahato was given warm welcome during the Festival of India in U.K. 1982 and he has been conferred one of the highest awards by the Government of India, and that award is of "PADAMSHREE". We are happy to inform that one of the admirers of our Chhau Dance is Honourable Princess Anne of England.
